 Deepa P K is alumini of the department. She has done MLISc and MPhil from the department. She has successfully defended her thesis titled Scholarly Use of Web based Information Resources and Services in University Libraries in India under the guidance of Dr Abdul Azeez T. A. from CHMK library University of Calicut  on 25 november 2020. Dr Gopikuttan Sir was the chairperson. Almost 54 participants interacted.

 Mrs. Kadeejakutty U. successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘ Emotional Intelligence of Library Professionals in the Universities of Kerala’ guided by Dr. Jalaja V on 23/07/2020 in the digital library of CHMK library, University of Calicut through google meet. The session was moderated by the Chairperson Dr. Naushad Ali Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University. Almost 74 participants joined in the online meet. This was the second open defense held over online in the history of the department of Library & Information Science, University of Calicut.








 

Mrs. Shyni K G. successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘ Quality of Work Life and Job Attitude of Library Professionals in Universities in Kerala’ guided by Dr. Mohamed Haneefa K on 17/06/2020 in the Conference Hall of the EMMRC, University of Calicut through google meet. The session was moderated by the Chairperson Dr.S. Humayoon Kabir,  former Associate Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science, University of Kerala. Almost 43 participants joined in the online meet. Which was first-ever open defense held over online in the history of the department of Library & Informatiopn Science, University of Calicut.





Mrs. Minimol K. successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘ An investigative study on awareness and use of assistive technologies for information support for differently-abled persons in Kerala’ guided by Dr. Jalaja V. on 26/02/2020 in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calicut. The session was moderated by the Chairperson Dr.S. Humayoon Kabir,  former Associate Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science, University of Kerala.


Mrs. Aswathi P successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘Digital Divide among students of Universities in Kerala’ guided by Dr. Mohammed Haneefa K. on 05/12/2019 in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calicut. The session was moderated by the Chairperson Dr.Mahabaleshwara Rao, Associate Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science, Manipal Academy of Higher Education
