Elevating Ideas: Dr. Syamili. C and Husna KT’s impactful session at the IFLA/ENSULB Webinar series

The IFLA/ENSULIB webinar series project hosts webinars on topics related to the theme of green and sustainable libraries and library projects as well as their intersection with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and other relevant emerging trends. This event served as a platform for experts and enthusiasts to delve into emerging trends and innovative projects in the field. Dr. Syamili C. and Ms. Husna KT (M. Lib. I. Sc, 2021-23) were distinguished presenters in an enlightening webinar held on April 4th, 2024. They shared their insights and research with a global audience, focusing on the topic of "Walking Librarians in Kerala: Empowering Women and the Elderly Woven into the Fabric of UN SDG Goals." The session, hosted by Priscilia Pun, Secretary of the ENSULB section of IFLA, was introduced by Antonia Mocatta, who also facilitated the hour-long session. "Still I Rise" - Women's day celebration

In the honor of International Women's Day, FLISS and women's cell has conducted women's day celebration on March 14.It was a vibrant event hosted by first-year student Athulya. The program, started at 11 a.m., featured various engaging segments including a debate on "why we all should be feminist" moderated by Rahma, a quiz program led by Aswath Ram and Salini, and a spirited misogynistic song competition between 1st and 2nd-year students. The event also included a one-minute talk session where students shared their experiences and perspectives on feminism and Women's Day. Dr. K.M. Haneefa, Dr. Syamili C., Avani, Anusree.K V , and other office staff conveyed their warm greetings. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by 1st-year student K. Raju, bringing together a meaningful observance of Women's Day.

FLISS conducted Christmas celebration on 22.12.2023 Friday at Seminar hall. The program initiated by 11.00 A. M. Arjun C.M and Ameera Mol moderate the function. The function felicitated by Dr. Mohammed Haneefa, Dr. Syamili C, Ms. Avani P, Beena(SO), Dinu and Saritha. Dr. Mohammed Haneefa and Dr. Syamili C gave an indoor plant and a memento to Ms. Durga as an official welcome to the new Department librarian. The program followed by a Christmas Carol song by Ms. Anusree and the students. The program wind up by Christmas cake cutting and wishes.
