National Webinar on "Innovations and Transformations in Libraries" on 10th December 2020 at 11.00 am by Dr. Naushad Ali P. M.     Dr. Naushad Ali P. M. is a Professor at Department of Library & Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University. He is a alumini of Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calicut. National Webinar is jointly organized by Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calicut and Kerala Library Association Kozhikode Region. It was a very informative session by Dr Naushad Ali and a lot of senior library science teachers and library professionals, research scholars and students from all over India participated. 10I participants joined the webinar. We had almost 250 request but could only admit 101 due to some technical problem. Next time we will come up with another medium to accommodate all. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A webinar on" Emerging Frontiers of Library and Information Science "was delivered by Dr.Vijayakumar K.P. former Head and Associate Professor, Department of Library & Information Science, University of Kerala on 27th November 2020. It was a very informative session covering the basics of library and information science and also discussed latest trending areas library science students as well as professionals should focus. 105 participants attended the webinar.  










 The purpose of this ARPIT MOOCs (ETTLIS) is to impart knowledge regarding emerging trends and technologies in library and information services.This course will be helpful in keeping abreast of with new trends and technologies arising in libraries. This course is also equivalent to One Full Refresher Course as per the UGC Notification D.O.No. F.2-16/2002(PS)/Pt.fl.II, dated 03/12/2018

This may help students in selecting dissertation titles avoiding duplication and also to study other dimensions of a subject which is not studied yet. All the dissertations are available in the department library for reference. Titles of 2002 and 1998 are missing in the list and will be uploaded shortly.  Mrs. Kadeejakutty U. successfully defended her thesis entitled ‘ Emotional Intelligence of Library Professionals in the Universities of Kerala’ guided by Dr. Jalaja V on 23/07/2020 in the digital library of CHMK library, University of Calicut through google meet. The session was moderated by the Chairperson Dr. Naushad Ali Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University. Almost 74 participants joined in the online meet. This was the second open defense held over online in the history of the department of Library & Information Science, University of Calicut.
