The 'Human Library' at Calicut University provides an opportunity to read human experiences directly beyond the letters in the libraries. This unique program was organized by the Department of Library and Information Science in conjunction with the university's academic exhibition 'Shastrayan 2025-26'.

This is a method where individuals become books and interact directly with readers for a specified period of time. The idea aims to remove prejudices among people and exchange knowledge through open dialogue.

Calicut University Vice Chancellor Professor P. Raveendran inaugurated the Human Library. Head of the Department Professor Mohamed Haneefa K presided over the function. The Human Library logo designed by Ajeesh Purushothaman was released by the University Vice Chancellor. Famous vlogger and motivational speaker Shihabuddin C.P. shared his life experiences and success stories amidst challenges with the readers. Professor Vasudevan T.M. and Dr. Syamili C. spoke at the event. Over the course of three days, January 29, 30, and 31, 2026, around thirty eminent Human Books interacted with readers at three venues set up at the University Park.

This event, which became a heart-to-heart exchange of knowledge, provided a great experience for students and the public alike.
