Also mendeley desktop an be downloaded for your system. You should create a account in mendeley website. Once you develop collection in library in mendeley we can sync the collection so that we can use it when offline too. Mendeley provide you email alerts regarding your topic related to your research and can easily download the pdfs. Microsoft Word also have options for arranging references. But in word we have to manually type the metadata while mendeley organises automatically. Whenever we have to look back to the article it will be available in the library of menedeley but in word its not possible. Suppose our article is rejected by a journal editor we can easily change the citation style of our article if we are using mendeley and we can sent to other journal. If we install web importer for web browsers we can import papers, web pages and other documents directly into our reference library from search engines and academic databases.
